MEA Scholarship

A number of scholarships will be awarded by the MEA to students who are dependents of MEA members or retired MEA members in good standing. The number and value of the scholarships will be determined in the spring. Applicants will be judged based on academic achievement, extra curricular activities, school and community service and income status. CLICK HERE for an online application. Portage Health Making a Difference Scholarship

This $500 scholarship will be awarded to a student planning to pursue a degree in a health related field with at least a 2.5 g.p.a.. One scholarship will be awarded to a Lake Linden-Hubbell student who meets the eligibility criteria. CLICK HERE for more information and to apply.

Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation

Varied awards are given throughout the year to the person who can answer trivia type questions accurately and quickly in specific categories. The categories change each month. Tall Clubs International Scholarship

These $1000 scholarships are awarded to first year students who meet the height requirements (5'10" for women, 6'2" for men). CLICK HERE for more information.

Marquette Builders' Exchange Scholarship

The Marquette Builders Exchange is awarding up to Five (5) Scholarships of $1,000 each to qualifying senior high school students who will be attending either college, vocational, technical or trade school in 2018 and are pursuing a career in the construction industry. Any student in the Upper Peninsula pursuing the following fields may apply: HVAC, plumbing/pipe fitting, carpentry, construction management, architecture, engineering, CAD, electrical, or any other area pertaining to the construction industry. Scholarship recipients must be registered and accepted at an approved college, vocational or trade school/program and provide proof of enrollment before award checks will be issued on August 1, 2018.

Lions Single District 10 Scholarship

The dollar amount of this scholarship varies from year to year, but it is given out to an Upper Peninsula student who has a documented learning and/or physical disability and who is planning to attend college after graduating high school.

Michigan Retailers Foundation

Nineteen scholarships ranging from $1000 to $2000 will be awarded to eligible students who have a parent employed at a business that is a member of the Michigan Retailers Association. Selection is based on academic records, test scores and extracurricular activities, including, but not limited to, retail employment.
